I suppose that the absolute dream of a day for a young lad would consist of a casual ride into the country in their ‘new’ convertible; away from the cares of the factory or office, away from the interruptions of the phone, away from the incessant chores of a demanding household. Then to be able to spend the day surrounded by his hero, his dad, and his loyal canine companion, leisurely awaiting a nibble, would be the description of the perfect day. Ah, to actually catch a fish would be no more than a little added bonus.

PARK STREET
TAXI It could be yesterday, today or tomorrow, just as long as twilight was approaching and the cares of the day had been left far behind. Now it’s ‘family time’; time to be with loved ones, time for romance, time for a little rest and relaxation. And, perhaps, time for some extravagance; time to splurge some of our ‘hard-earned’ wages for a romantic ride in a horse drawn carriage.

JUST ME AND MY BUDDIES Countless ‘red blooded’ men, who love

WITHOUT A
CARE Hopefully, as we ponder this
setting, a particular Scripture comes to mind, ‘Look at the birds of
the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet
your heavenly Father feeds them.’ There the lone gull sits,
seemingly without a care in this world, knowing that breakfast would
soon appear before him. And then, following that phrase, Jesus says,
‘ Are you not much more valuable than they? Matt 6:26 Hmm, why
should we worry or fret.
